​Lee Koorse, owner and operator of The Carolina Golf Academy and A-Swing Golf Academy was born and raised to teach. Lee’s mother as well as his grandparents and great grandparents were accomplished dancers, musicians and artists. As a young man in New York, Lee started teaching in his mother’s dance studio. It was obvious that he was a natural athlete and teacher from the very start.  He absolutely loved working with children; teaching them new techniques, watching the pride on their faces as they learned.  After moving to South Florida in high school, Lee excelled in sports. One day in 1996, Lee decided to try his hand at golf. It was magic from the first swing. Lee picked up the game of golf very quickly excelling to a scratch golfer within two years.  He had discovered a deep passion for the game of golf and that’s when he embarked on his journey in the golf profession. He began as an apprentice at Westchester Golf and Country Club moving on to work at Boca Raton Municipal, 1st Assistant and Head Professional at Pompano Municipal and eventually joining A-Swing Golf Academy at the Carolina Club. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Lee has developed a unique ability to see what his students need and show them how to accomplish their goals.  Using his in-depth knowledge of the game as well as a well developed, defined curriculum he is able to keep his student returning as well as referring new clients. Most of his students see a marked improvement in their game after just one lesson.  He has easily become one of South Florida’s most sought after Golf Professionals.  Over the years, Lee has been very successful at keeping up with the latest developments in the Golf world and utilizing them to the benefit of his students.  With the use of digital and computer technology, Lee is able to offer his students a truly specialized look at their lessons. Although, Lee provides a welcoming atmosphere for his students and a fun and relaxing approach to learning, he also stresses the importance of the rules and etiquette of the game of golf. Lee is intent on ensuring his students get a full and complete education in all aspects of their game. In addition to dedicating his life to the profession of golf, Lee is also a very dedicated family man. He currently loves in Margate, Florida with his wife of 24 years and their two children. Lee volunteers countless hours  for his children and their sports endeavors, which include, soccer, football, softball, baseball and especially GOLF!
